It also works in partnership with the local police and fire service to make sure that all students know about crime prevention and fire safety.

The University of Lincoln boasts more than 110,000 alumni across the world. Included on the list are former British Prime Minister John Major and actors Chiwetel Ejiofor and Sandra Dickinson. Medal-winning Paralympic athlete Hannah Cockroft MBE and award-winning author Zadie Smith are both also former students.
Other notable names include former Doctor Who star Christopher Eccleston and John Grogan whose book about his beloved dog Marley inspired a major motion picture starring Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston.
