How to host the perfect last minute Eurovision party
We’re sure that just like us Eurovision is on the top of your social calendar for 2023… ok maybe not, but the contest is always sure to entice your competitive side and possibly even a few laughs too.
This is why we have come up with some ideas on how you can become the ultimate Eurovision host whilst the competition final takes place in Liverpool.
-
Any excuse to dress up!
Get your friends together and encourage them to come dressed in an outfit inspired by their favourite country. Whether that’s making use of the flag or a theme from that country. Get creative with it and maybe even make a costume contest for best dressed!
(P.s if you choose the United Kingdom and don’t get dressed up as a Greggs sausage roll you’ve missed a trick)
-
Decorate your student accommodation
Transform your student accommodation into a Eurovision haven and immerse yourself completely in the Eurovision experience. From international flag bunting to ‘hot’ and ‘not’ signs you and your friends can hold up to judge each performance.
-
Get cooking!
We love any excuse to whip up a new dish in the kitchen, so why not prepare food inspired by the participating countries. You could even invite your guests to bring a dish each.
-
Winner, winner!
There is only one winner in Eurovision and that’s why we love it! You will all have your favourites so make a sweepstake of this and see who is declared the winner by the end of the competition. The best type of bragging rights!
The drama, songs, goofiness of Eurovision is certain to entertain, and could even lead to a long-term tradition to last well beyond your university days.
Whatever you get up to, share it with us! We would love to see our resident’s fun and wacky takes of a Eurovision party.
