How to spend your bank holiday in Leicester
As the bank holiday weekends approach this May, it’s time to put down your laptops, take a break from your studies, and enjoy some well-deserved fun in Leicester.
Whether you’re catching up with friends or have family visiting, we have put together some ways you can spend the bank holiday weekend.
1. Escape Leicester
No, we don’t actually mean run for the hills and never look back.
We’re talking about an escape room where you embrace your inner detective skills by solving clues and breaking codes to escape the themed room. We can’t think of a better way to bond with your flatmates or visiting family.
Find out more by visiting their website here.
2. Get back to nature at Knighton Park
Whether it’s a picnic in the park, going for a springtime stroll or enjoying the activities at Knighton Park, it has everything needed for a fun-filled bank holiday. With football pitches, a FootGolf course, an outdoor gym, Ping! tables, tennis courts and a sensory garden, there is something for everyone!
It’s just outside the city centre but hopping on a bus will take you straight there in around 25 minutes.
Discover more about the park here.
3. Family visiting? That calls for afternoon tea.
Where better to take visiting family than out for an afternoon tea and catch up?
Some of our favourite city centre-based ones are Five Fox Lane, Mrs Bridges Tea Room, Chloe Gormet and Prana Café.
Please check before you arrive. Some of these require booking in advance.
4. A round of Caddyshackers golfing
With crazy golf, axe throwing, and VR Excape, Leicester’s first VR escape room, you’re promised an unforgettable experience that will keep you busy perfecting your golf and axe throwing skills.
Discover more about Caddyshackers here.
However you spend your bank holidays in May, we hope you have a great time and share with us what you get up to on our socials!
